Sparkling lights welcome the celebration, and the inauguration ceremony is brightly lit. On the evening of April 14, 2023, the "38th Anniversary Celebration of the Hong Kong Foundry Industry Association and the 20th Council Inaugural Ceremony" was grandly held at the Mangkute International Hotel in Tangxia, Dongguan. More than 600 leaders and guests from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, national, provincial and municipal industry associations (societies), the Council of the Hong Kong Foundry Industry Association, member units, and professional media attended the event.

 

 

At 18:00 in the evening, all attending guests stood solemnly and played and sang the national anthem. The conference kicked off with the resounding national anthem, and Ms. Leung Sze yee, the newly appointed president of the Hong Kong Foundry Association, delivered a speech. She expressed gratitude to several generations of association leaders, members, and colleagues in the foundry industry for their strong support and contributions over the past 38 years. The Hong Kong Foundry Association has achieved brilliant achievements. I am fortunate to become the 20th president and will do my best to live up to expectations. In the future, based on the existing work of the association, we will explore and strengthen the development of overseas affairs and liaison, as well as the cultivation of new generations to inherit and take over.

Mr. Zhang Libo, Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation and President of the China Foundry Association, congratulated the annual celebration and inauguration ceremony of the federation in his speech, highly affirming the achievements of the federation under the leadership of previous presidents. He stated that the China Foundry Association and the General Association have a good history of cooperation, jointly organizing a series of activities such as the "Cross Strait and Three Region Foundry Industry Development Forum", working hand in hand and making joint efforts to play a bridge and link role in the development of the foundry industry, building an excellent industry service platform, and promoting the healthy development of the industry and enterprises. Next, President Zhang Libo, who was promoted to the current chairman of the Asian Foundry Industry Federation, presented the rotating president certificate of the Asian Foundry Industry Federation to President Liang Shiya.

Mr. Xie Huasheng, Chairman of Shenyang Foundry Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Vice Chairman of the Foundry Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, extended warm congratulations on behalf of his unit and enterprise for this event. He stated that the Hong Kong Foundry Association has made significant contributions in the past few decades by building service platforms for upstream and downstream enterprises in the foundry industry and promoting industry development. At present, the foundry industry in China and Hong Kong is facing new changes in development. The National Foundry Society and the Hong Kong Foundry Industry Association have a good cooperation foundation and will continue to strengthen cooperation in the future, making new contributions to the progress of national foundry technology and industrial development.

Mr. Peng Fan, Chairman of the National Intelligent Casting Industry Innovation Center and Chairman and Party Secretary of Sharing Group Co., Ltd., expressed gratitude for being invited to participate in this event and wished the conference a successful one. He expressed high appreciation for the achievements of the Hong Kong Foundry Association in the past 38 years and its contributions to promoting the development of the foundry industry in mainland China and Hong Kong. He hopes that everyone can learn from each other, exchange information, and reminisce about friendship through the platform of the association and this gathering.

After the leader's speech, Mr. Liu Hongyu, Director of the Comprehensive Group of the Trade Department of the Economic Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Zhang Libo, Vice Chairman Xie Huasheng, and Chairman Peng Fan respectively issued appointment letters to the members of the council structure. As the influence of the Hong Kong Foundry Association continues to expand, the membership team is also constantly growing and expanding. President Liang Shiya awarded permanent membership certificates to four newly joined companies in the Hong Kong Foundry Industry Association, namely Dongguan Yongsheng Casting Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Dongguan Sanshi Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Shunbo Aluminum Alloy Co., Ltd., and Ningbo Beilun Xinyu Mold Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

 

 

To express gratitude for the contributions made by industry veterans and talents to the development of the Hong Kong Foundry Industry Association, President Zhang Libo, Vice Chairman Xie Huasheng, and Chairman Peng Fan presented contribution awards to 20 entrepreneurs including Dr. Jiang Yongzheng.

 

To promote the spirit of "hard work, unity and mutual cooperation" of the Hong Kong Foundry Industry Association, President Leung Sze yee led all the directors to perform two songs, "Under Lion Rock" and "Tomorrow will be better", on stage.

He also thanked the staff of the Secretariat for their dedication and efforts in this event.
